Grey-cheeked Parakeets and other Brotogeris by Robbie Harris
1985 - 160 pages - 6" x 8" - In excellent condition - Hardback
This book focuses on the Grey-cheeked parakeet but also discusses others including Canary-wings, Cobalt-wings, Orange-chins, and Tuis, This book covers breeding and raising Grey-cheeks plus information on pet potential, taming, talking, and trick training. There are more than 80 photos, Grey-cheeks were very popular parrot-family birds when this book was published and were imported in great numbers as 'pocket parrots'. They don't seem as popular now but they are fun, curious and affectionate little parrots. There are some breeders still raising parakeets in the Brotogeris family
