Amazing Huichol Native Intricately Beaded Parrot Made in Mexico
7" High x 3 3/4"
The Huichol or Wixáritari (Huichol pronunciation: /wiˈraɾitaɾi/) are Native Americans, living in the Sierra Madre Occidental range in the Mexican states of Nayarit, Jalisco, Zacatecas, and Durango. They are known for their native art, including their very intricately beaded figures commonly of animals and birds but not limited to those.
Many of my items are vintage or antique and I will note if there is something beyond normal wear.
